So I sold my old laptop minus hard drive on ebay. Buyer has had it almost two weeks.I get an email saying the screen dont work and the battery is shot. Both things worked great when left here. So He says he has worked on it and now it wont reconzie his hard drive. Here is the thing I know that the battery and screen where good when it left here. I know he has opened the laptop. He also waited two weeks to tell me of these problems? Any way do to it being an used laptop I sold it stated AS IS in the add. Will he be able to get paypal or flea bay to side with him?I for one will never sell on ebay again I dont think.

computers are tricky, especially laptops. and i would never buy one used for very much. you can save yourself a lot of heartache by simply recycling it. though, that said i don't think he has much of a case. computers can work perfect one day then the next day nothing. and with that being the case it would be tough to prove that it did not work when it left your possession.

Send the guy an email telling him that the item was sold "as is", as it clearly stated in the auction.....then forget about him.

Since it took him 2 weeks to get back to you after he recieved it, I'm willing to bet he jacked it up. Too bad, so sad. |
