last night around 11pm eastern time i get on and its snowing after 20mins or so everyone in the lobby gets 55 million$

I signed on a little while ago and Rockstar immediately took $50k from my account for some reason. About 30 minutes later I was credited $500k.  |

Yup, people are logging on to modded DNS servers, and once you do, you are invincible. Then they go and rob the convenience stores and it gives them billions of dollars and tons of RP points for doing so. Then they are sharing the money from the last job with everyone in the lobby, and also setting massive bounties on people. It has been going on for like a week and a half now.
