I picked up a Mountaineer this weekend and after looking at it and trying to get it to run I need help. The on/off switch is pluged into the Batt. on the receiver, where does the other end go? THANKS for any help

Probably a Reciever pack, I don't know where that would be on a Mountaineer though.

Duh! Man I just have my head up my @@@. I knew that. THANKS. I'm just not thinking straight because of my find.

Do the gears shift automatic or how does it work.

The trans is shifted by a 3rd servo manually by that rod that hangs out of the back of the gear case, it is very hard to setup to shift properly.

Thanks for all the help. I will be getting an owners manual so hopefully that will help.

I was able to hook up my modded tq3 and use the 3rd channel switch for shifting instead of rear steering. As long as you get the servo centered and the shifting mech centered, it should be ok. I can shift low to hi on the fly but to go to 4wd you really need to stop the truck.
