Its a 56 2 door post. It is missing the eagle on the hood. Maybe they were only on the Bel Air models. |

This is a '56 Bel Air. I had one. Midnight Black, Straight 6 w/Hurst 3 speed shifter. Thought I was badass. That was 1972.

I think your right. 210 was a little more of a stripper car. I did not think the 210 has all the side trim. | |

Mr. Violater sir, I got up out of bed to apologise. It is the 210. I remember that when the window was down F&B it was wide open (I could throw my surf board through the passenger side without opening the door. I don't think it had rain gutter to mount surf board racks). Also the trim on the rear quarter panel was wide chrome wing or two tone paint."Bel Air" overlaid. I'll research tomorrow. Might have some pics around here some where. Nighty night. Last edited by Hunter711; 07-30-2012 at 10:06 PM. |

You are correct, 1956 Chevy. Hard to tell if it is the 210 or the Delray though. Yes, there were two, less expensive versions of the car. One was the 210 and one was the 210 delray. Can't remember all of the little differences right off the top of my head though. There were two versions of the Belair. One was Belair Sedan, with door post, the second was the hardtop, no post. Pic of the car my father and I worked on while in high school. He sold it the year I went away to college. Then he died that following summer. I still see the car, even though it was sold more than 15 years ago, and one day it will again be in my possesion. I still have the rally wheels in storage. Taken in 1994, and used in some of my senior pics. Last edited by bigstu; 07-31-2012 at 07:23 AM. |
