Biking will get me in better shape ;) There isn't as much downhill stuff in flag, so I'm sure I'll be fine. My bike was fairly low travel though. It was definetely a mountain bike, but also DEFINETELY NOT a downhill bike

Go-Ride.com

They are good friends of mine and will treat you good. I have been riding and racing down hill and trail for some years now. It's required here in Utah.

BTW I have a Balfa 2Step full suspention trail/freeride bike for sale if you're interested. used but in good shape.

Can anyone suggest a good, cheap, durable rim? (I don't care at ALL about weight.. which is the only reason I think I can get away with something cheap )

When I built my last mountain bike ( since the previous one got ripped off out of my locked garage ) I bought almost all my stuff from http://www.jensonusa.com .

Well.... Cheap??? I lace up my own wheels so I usually just by the rims. At 230lbs I need some strength too. But I have some pricy ones on my DH bike: Intense Mag40 rims and on my HT dirt jumper/park bike I run Atomic Trail Pimps, and on my trail bike I have Vuelta FR rims. You can find the Vuelta FR on ebay for a good deal if you are patient. I got my set of rims(not wheelsets) for $35 a par shipped last year. I tend to flatspot rhinolites but the Vuelta FR rims have held up real well.

I probubly didn't help much because NOTHING is cheap now a days.

Now here I can help. Having riden 500mi on the Mtn bike and 1500 on the road bike this year, I spent way more time in the saddle than with my RC.

Hey if you ever need parts, I can get you what you need. My company builds parts for fixed-gear mountain biking. We also build full custom bikes for anyone. Just PM me or send me an email at reed@levelcomponents.com I can send you a price quote for parts. I should be able to match super go. I ran a bike shop for 4yrs, and I have been a bike messenger for 3, building hubs for a little over a year. Been working on my gecko crawler all night. I will ride all day tomarrow. The Sun Rims Single Track is burly for most people. If you need tougher stuff then that, the double track, or the Mavic 521. I am 200# and ride single track, urban, road, and fixed. Be glad to help you out.

Being into MTN. bikes for 15 years and working in the industry for 7 of those years I know a few things. Look for a SUN RHYNO LITE if you want a DH friendly rim or a CR18 also made by sun. How many holes do you need? 32 or 36 I may have something. Both rims are double walled triple boxed. I built a set of RHYNO's for a buddy who is really hard on wheels and he hasn't even needed to true them and there roughly 3 years old.
