Default Dude kills dude who kills dude's children.

A drunk driver kills two children as they help push their father's truck home. The dad runs to his house, grabs his gun, comes back and shoots the drunk driver in the head.

This seems like one of those I shot you and the jury won't convict me kinda crimes.

Smells premeditated to me. If you are so overcome with emotion you see your deceased offspring and kill the drunk with a tire iron, stick, your bare hands etc that's one thing. The dude had plenty of time to think about what he was going to do.

As an aside if that were me the drunk likely wouldn't have lived either but it would have been by my hand not a gun.

Drunk got what he had coming. The father did us a favor of not having to pay for the drunk to rot in jail. I say give the guy a small slap on the wrist. The worst part is now he has to live without his two sons because some underage piece of crap decided to drive drunk.

The article said he was only 150 yards from his house.

That's far enough to think about it. Pure unadulterated rage causes immediate action. It doeant cause you to go on a short jog to and from your house to retrieve a firearm to kill the dirtbag with.

I pass no judgement.. just a thought.. beside the kids(which is a tragedy) an besides the waste of time to get a gun to kill a drunk.. was this person a dirt bag or piece of trash?

Have you never drank an got behind the wheel? Then it could have been you behind that wheel, just as much as it was the person behind the wheel in this matter..

So before passing judgement on the driver...

As a father, my kids wouldn't have been pushing the truck, or better yet, death for the driver would have been instant, by hand.

Yes I was a professional drunk driver for years until I got my CDL. I was extremely lucky that I didn't cause any accidents or worse yet kill anyone. But if I had I'd accept whatever happened. If I plowed into some kids and the father beat me to death then so be it.

I played stupid games and was prepared to win stupid prizes. These days I won't even have a beer the night before I get in the big truck let alone get shithammered.

I don't know about you, but personally, I doubt that my adrenaline would have subsided just a few minutes (the time it would have taken to sprint to the house and back) after watching two of my kids get murdered by some asshole.

I'm too fat to run that far on purpose. I'd have found a suitable object to bludgeon the dude with.

He doesn't have to worry about what some people on this here intardweb think. He has to worry about a jury of his peers have to say about it.

This happened just one county over from me. There are those on this here insterweb, that just might be on the jury of his peers.

Wait I'm lazy because odds are, I'd bludgeon the dude to death rather than sauntering down the lane to my domicile to retrieve a gun so I can simply pull the trigger instead? The fawk...

You are correct that those on this site may be summoned for jury duty. It's tiny odds but yes, it could happen. Either way unless they are a liar they'll be dismissed when they admit to reading about it here etc.

It was actually a lot closer than that . My wife went to school the the man who's kids were killed. They just lived around the corner from her parents. Everytime I drive by there , family members are sitting at the memorial on the side of the road where it happened.

If I just watched my kids get cut in half by a drunk piece of shit . I wouldn't have ran for a gun either . I would have ripped his f'n leg off and stabbed him in his throat with the splintered end. I'll DIE for my son , wether it be protecting him or avenging him . You can bet your ass on that .

Agreed. But I don't think there is a single person on this planet who would have been moving at anything less than top speed after watching his kids get murdered.
