| Ultimate ordering!!!
I just ordered another TLT from Ultimate Hobbies. It looks like they are starting a new NEEDED practice. If you pay w/ credit card, they will call you for the 3 digit security code and phone # off the back of the card. So, make sure you give a phone # they can reach you at during the day....... asta Greg |

Believe me, it doesn't really make it any more safe by asking for that info. I take people's card info every day over the phone, sometimes we get the 3-digit code, sometimes we don't, and sometimes the customer will read off the numbers wrong. Regardless it always goes through. |

You should try Hobbypeople.net, i ordered a tlt and a lrp ESC it was shipped that day and i got it at my door 4 days later, they use a secure CC billing system(Ultimate is not secure). Plus they ship fedex with many options and they are very customer minded. At least in my experience. EG. There was an issue at customs where my package had to have the taxes paid on it before it cleared customs, they promptly got ahold of the hobbypeople.net guys and me to explain the delay an offered me a few solutions. All i can say is im super impressed with hobbypeople.net and id recomend them to anyone.......ill be buying from them again |

where I work, we take a lot of phone orders. the only thing that 3 digit code really does is save the company your ordering from an additional procesing fee. I think the credit card company charge us an additional 50 cents if we don't have it.

Ok, I was just pointing out that they actually called me to verify this stuff.... The last time I ordered (4 mo ago) they didn't. I wish they were secure on their page. It bugs me doing it that way, call it paranoia..... It's not worth spending too much time on this, just an FYI thing. |
