How many of you guys own or owned an og hilux/blazin blazer

Like the title says. I am just trying to find out how many are on here and what has happened to them, here's mine, currently awaiting some Rogue Elements sweet locking hubs to change the og rounded out ones and continue with my resto.

I had a hi lux, sold it, and might buy it back. Just so it can sit on my shelf again?

I have an OG bruiser. It's an old scaler project that sits on the back shelf for a few years.

I have a cherry Mountaineer. Completely stock, done box art correct, with the box, Manuel, and original period correct futaba radio from Japan. It is in like new condition. Worth? IDK.

That's all I have from that era.

Why not use it? I have driven every single rc I have owned, I keep most of them, but they sit on my shelves waiting for their turn to be used again.

I had an OG Bruiser.
It was stolen from the shelf in my bedroom back in the late 80s.

Had an OG Bruiser. Bought it in Japan in 1989 (I think). Forgot about it and it sat in my parents attic until about 2008 when I had it shipped out here to Colorado. I gave it a buddy who is rebuilding it...he gave me a box of parts and I started building this:

Here is my shelf queen I got when I was about 14years old. My pops got it for me brand new back in the mid 80's. He even painted it for me. I drove the shit out of it back then but she just sits now. And probably will for another 20 years.

I had a bruiser with "rummy" 12mm axle conversion. You can see it in my waterproof testing vid on youtube.
Ended up selling it for a reason I can't remember.
Bought another one christmas eve 2yrs ago and it's sat on the shelf ever since.
One day I'll restore it to box-art condition.
I just wish rc4wd still made the HD axle shafts for em.

 i see many bruisers, but few hilux/blazer on here, i guess these models are more hard to come by, also weaker components on the axles for the locking hubs.

Re: How many of you guys own or owned an og hilux/blazin blazer

My first RC was a Blazin' Blazer. I was into 1/32 slot cars at the time and kept telling my dad about the one sitting on the counter at the hobby shop. Santa brought it for me that year. I traded it that summer for an almost-complete gold pan RC-10 because they wouldn't let me race the Blazer.

I was in Jr High at the time and kick myself every time I think about it.

(Not my pic but they are awesome to look at)
