jailbreaking iphone 4s

got an iphone 4s. i have it thru us cellular. bill is to much to pay and i want to jailbreak it to use straighttalk. ive read online that i dont have to jailbreak it that i can just buy the sim card and do it that way but ive heard doing it that way it can make your mms Nd data not work then makin you to go thru the phone and do some extra steps to get the mms and data to work.has anyone done this before? whats the best way to do it.etc etc.thanks for the help!
