I don't think they are playing it off as a turn key machine. There is actually a lot to work with there. The rear suspensions needs help, and I don't like how the seat goes behind the cage.

yeah, no way its turn key. i could see it as a bogger, just slap some decent mudders on it, but a crawler looks like youd have to rework the rear suspension quite a bit

As it sits it would work killer for sand or mud. The faster sand/mud trucks around my area are setup very similar to that. If you cut ALL the suspension off, and start over, you could make that jeep into a decent crawler.
