And I'm going to work. Why? Because today is a work day. What did you think I was going to say? Bunch of white guilt ridden racists around here.

Oh yea and today being a "holiday" screwed me up! I sold some parts in the classifieds here this weekend and told the buyers I'd ship Monday am on my way to work. I printed the shipping label online for one since it's going in a known size end envelope then headed to the post office to find it closed. Gawdammitsonofabiotch! Just pm'd them to give them the news that I'm semi functional retarded.

I do that on nearly every single major holiday. Apparently I'm completely oblivious to calenders.

If it ain't Christmas, thanksgiving, memorial day or 4th of July it's just another day.

Sad but true.

I'm waiting for the day my hometown HS gets its name changed from Lee-Davis. Since its inception in the 50's up until about 15yrs ago the sports teams names were Confederates. Around that time the school hired its first black principle. Within a year the teams names was changed to Bulldogs. Only a matter of time before the school name changes.

I guess we should close all of the state parks in my area too that people come from all over to see because they involve 'Confederates'.

Yeah I know, but it's one of those that I never see coming. If there isn't at least 3 weeks of advertising and sales ahead of it, I'll never remember.

Perfect timing for today, balti-b-no-moe city announced today that the city counsel will vote on whether or not to start removing any of the confederate monuments around the city. Merry-land was technically a southern state ( right below the Mason Dixon line ) and had slaves on the eastern shore for the tobacco farms, although most of the state (rightly) sided with the North.

When I drove a delivery truck for a vending distribution company, the only holidays the owners recognized were Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas day. We worked the day after Thanksgiving, (pain-in the-ass) with all the black Friday shoppers on the road. Job was also Non-Union.

When I got a job working for a Municipality, all that changed. Union job, got all the important holidays off, New Years Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving day & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas day.

Double time for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.

Sorry couldent help myself, then again since we allso seem to be having all American hollidays we need it.

And you can take those 6 weeks when bloddy hell you want, and all 6 weeks in a row if thats what you like.

Only mandatory hollydays we have is a day here and there, but you can take those off without pay, or just use a little of your overtime on those days.
