Today was an interesting day..."interesting", indeed. I've had 12 packages delivered today...some with as few as one item. Kicking things off (literally, and figuratively) was a new pair of shoes...another pair of Asics Kayano to add to the 'collection'.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...82ada8a8ae.jpg

Next up was a new kit...the (somewhat) recently-released Tamiya TD4 Super Avante.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b14213702b.jpg

To go with the Super Avante is a collection of 'Hop-Up' parts (all official Tamiya), a PowerHD R12 servo (for the TD4), a few pair of Tamiya "cutlery" (lol), and...to the right of the scissors...a upgrades for my AE B74.1 4WD buggy.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...95597a3f4a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...07fe7b3062.jpg

Talk about kicking the week off with a *bang*. Guess it's a good thing my b-day is this Friday - Happy Birthday to myself.

^ Happy early birthday to you dude.

So here's #8 of 10, of the 1/10 Toyota crawler lexan builds. This one will be a light blue or tan LC70 on 4.19's. I'm gonna "try" not to put this together, because #6 and #7 aren't 100% done yet due to awaiting parts/needing paint done.

You got a build thread on the suburban?

It’s taken a while, but I’ve finally built my fleet to the point where I could justify throwing money at this caveman technology!

As terrible as it is in so many ways, I love it. Can’t beat the looks. Look forward to getting some run time on it soon.

I don't think I started one. Took a few shots of the start of the body work, might have a shot or two of the chassis but I haven't done much work on it lately.

Been busy with other projects and the burb got pushed to the back burner.

Re: Pics of your latest purchase

Goodies for the SSD TK/Redneck Blazer.
Lockouts for the fronts and +3 hexes with brake rotors for the rear.

Also picked up the stuff I needed to build a set of SSD Diamonds f and R. Had a spare rear Pro 44 complete axle and a set of front metal axle tubes so I got the rest of the front stuff with a pair of Diamond pumpkins. O.D. in both axles (do have a set of stock r&p gears and will likely grab a VP Underdrive to have some od options.
Got them mostly built, but realized the rear tubes were still stock plastics and I didn't have all the bearings I needed.
So have a set of Fast Eddy Pro44 axle bearings coming that fit the SSD Axles. Also have a pair of rear metal axle tubes. Once these things get here I'll be able to build the rest of the F axle and have my SSD Diamonds ready for the LCG Belly Dragger I have plans to build.

I also tossed in a set of the SSD Rear Axle weights to add to the Rear Diamond alxe. The Fronts have aluminum Chubs and Brass Knucks, so want to be able to add some rear biased weight if needed. I suspect it will need to go on.

OH, I also picked up as set of DLink Hybrids for the Gen8 AXE and got them installed tonight.
Brass lowers and Derlin Uppers.

wish they included spacers for the Gen8 Links, as the balls have a 5mm spacer buid into them on the Gen8s and the revo balls on the DLinks are way to thin to fill the gap without spacers or a 4-5mm stack of washers.

I've always wanted to do some kind of makeshift adjustable window instead of just permanently cutting into a lexan body to get that rolled down window effect. Pretty cool you could buy this as a separate unit. I get to see the setup first hand.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f0fce68173.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2698a6ac81.jpg

Not mine but my sons . Stock 2012 GMC with the 6.2 V8.
He just turned 19 a month ago. Works 54 hr. weeks. He saved up $4200 to put as a down. I cosigned on a used car loan for him. He had it for 2 weeks and already bought BFG's/Methods and a spindle lift. We just installed it Sunday. Amazing what a proper stance and wheel combo can do.

Awesome, sounds like he's got his head on straight!

Hopefully he resists the urge to go bigger and/or higher, because that is JUST right... "thumbsup"

(add a little pre-runner front bar, maybe?)

Yea I get it, that’s why I went with the kit. $25 off at amain this month, and I had $10 store credit which brought it down to a reasonable price imo. I’ve got all the electronics except a steering servo which I ordered today.

It’s not bad if you get a kit and utilize whatever discount code that’s available.

Nice!... my 3 gear version came in from Poland last week!

I didn't have a plan for it, but it showed up the same day as some Hilow rails, so I think I'm gonna give it a whirl in that.

That's a start! I've bought a few AD stuff before and I like that they've started to make stuff catering to the LCG mindset.
