Default Cabin Fever Expo

There's some here that don't think I should promote Large Scale Railroading on an RC site, but I think this show is for everybody, especially since they have the RC construction equipment display.

Home

I've never been to the show, but the guys that I know on the railroad forums always have some good youtube videos of it.

It's an overwhelming experience. I went when the show was at the York County fair grounds. Last year I drove about 2 hours to go to the new venue. I was gagging on the exhaust fumes from all of the small steam engines running non stop. The operational gravel quarry is a high light for me, mind boggling at the electro-hydraulic equipment and that big ass drag line !

Why? It's chit chat, post whatever you like! There's far more off topic stuff posted here.

Quite a few of my former trail buddies have gone over to scale semi's, construction equipment, and what not. They'll be there running all weekend apparently. Didn't know there was train stuff too. I'll have to check it out.

There is a HUGE model railroad museum in balboa park, San Diego. My daughter really likes it and I have considered getting her started with a set. Same problem as with most of my hobbies... Room, time, money.
I have always thought they are neat though. I had abbasic set when I was a wee lad. And the scale aspect is incredible.
I also live near one of the best shops in San Diego. Also happens to be the only place I know has styrene lol

Model trains are neato!
