| Head Tax John Stossel: Amazon blasts Seattle's new So, a couple of days ago in the Tower Hobbies thread the discussion got onto taxes and such, and I made a comment about "cash grabs" vs taxes. Well, here is a great example of a cash grab. I am all for big business holding its own in civic responsibility, but for a city counsel to just decide to throw a $500 tax on businesses for each employee a business has, it is going too far. Seattle, just like L.A and S.F. have created a human crisis with their policies and have attracted and propagated their homeless communities. Now that the liberal grand plan has epically shown its flaws, they need cash to get them out of the crisis they have created. And, you know it is mess up when liberal juggernauts like Amazon and Starbucks tell a liberal city counsel to go fornicate with themselves. What is the grand liberal plan? Simple, you attract the dregs of society, you give them shelter, food and jobs. Suddenly, magically, these dregs turn into productive responsible members of the liberal society; and, most importantly, because they are grateful for what liberalism has done for them, they are now the new liberal voting base. The problem, it simply does not work. |

Every time I hear about crap being a 'human right' why is it always at the cost of MY TAX DOLLARS! Free shit buys voters - thats all the politicians do by spreading this crap that humans are entitled to anything. CT has the same crap, they just approved law here that illegal/undocumented/what ever politically correct name you want to call them ..... people can get goverment assistance for colleges. Hmmm but Im, a single parent with a job and taxable income contributing to society, have to pay for my daughters education? Last edited by Robbob; 05-17-2018 at 02:06 PM.

The crystal clear failures of the liberal agenda- it only works when there's someone elses money to spend. I'd imagine Boeing would speak up, they literally have 1000's of people on the payrolls in King county ( Seattle is in King County)

Taxes keep increasing because politicians are greedy and do steal, but moreso because Liberals insist on the hard working people taking care of the lazy scumbags that don't want to work. I'm all for welfare for people that are disabled. I am not for welfare to a single mom with multiple kids that keeps having more and works just because she doesn't feel like it. And if you can't take care of kids don't have them. And if you're on welfare you shouldn't have an iPhone, a nice car, and a Coach purse or brand new Nike Jordans.

| Re: Head Tax You have an opposing viewpoint? If so, please share. We are not liberals and will actually listen and take into careful consideration your side of the discussion. Plus, unlike liberals, we do actual respect your point of view.

| Re: Head Tax I don’t know if you’ve seen today’s headlines in a few of our notable newspapers, but it’s something else. I never would have imagined a day where the president was so hated that those against him would actually defend one of, if not the, worst gangs in this country by being upset that President Trump referred to MS-13 members as animals as opposed to humans. |

Fox news used to be the ultimate spin-doctors, taking a story and warping it to their viewpoint. Now CNN has become what Fox used to be (worse, I think), in how they warp and take out of context to push their own views. To be clear, I am not a fan of President Trump, if fact I think he is a tweeting shit-show, but we-the-people still elected him. I also was not a fan of Bush Jr and Obama, again, we-the-people elected them, and I served under both. Plus, I did not vote for Trump or Clinton, I do not believe either should be allowed into the Whitehouse, even as a tourist escorted by armed guards. It is funny though, some of the more liberal cities have figured out how wrong they were and are changing their polices. Portland realized that their policies were inviting droves of broke down RVs that were becoming permanent fixtures on their streets, may were being used as drug dens and a lot were burnt out hulks. They realized they had to change their policies or have to do what Seattle is trying to do and tax the crap out of companies that support their causes. When you do ridiculously tax the companies that supported you, two things happen, they no long support you, and they take their tax revenues (along with their jobs) to another city (state or country) that supports them.

Taxing is just their “less obvious” way of stopping people from doing things. For example, the soda taxes that appeared in some cities and states, or gun taxes, all the liberals are trying to do is use their mindless drones to vote yes to whatever they say and screw the people who can actually think for themselves. I grew up in Washington State (a long time ago). Used to be a great place to live. Now that it's turned into an overtaxed haven for liberals, refugees, derelicts and degenerates from all over the world led by a Hillary loving, president-defying governor, my brother's seriously considering pulling chocks at 62 after a lifetime there. I wouldn't go back. |

I was shocked that people are defending this gang. Honestly speaking, one has to be retarded at a never before seen level to support such a gang. Its like common sense is just not present or may be floride in tap water However it will be interesting to understand the reasons as to why some people are supporting ms-13.

Louisiana has some high sales and income taxes as of the recent administration trying to fix a bloated welfare state budget. Now, homegrown large companies are relocating out of the state or at least moving their HQ to avoid the crazy taxation.

Yeah, I'm anti worthless! If you cant/won't provide for yourself your a fricking sponge, as worthless as a blood sucking tick. A parasite.
