Finished taping this up late last night. It'll get liquid mask to finish all the details around the window moldings, then they can be sprayed flat or satin.

Technically last night but I took my final GED test and passed. Now I’m just waiting on my diploma to come in the mail.

Took out the Phoenix for the first time on real rocks! Very impressive! Might be my favorite Vanquish rig in my fleet!

On the topic: picked up up some survival gear from https://gritroutdoors.com/outdoor-survival/ ( they had a sale, managed to snag a nice Beretta knife and a new rifle case for like half a price, was well worth 40 min driving there :D )

Did a little chrome ‘removal’ on the front end today. Starting the rear now….hope it goes as well as the front. I didn’t get any proper before shots so hope this is good enough lol.

I used Rustoleum branded plastidip called Peelcoat in matte black. Overall happy with it, definitely transforms the entire look of the truck. The only thing I’m not too keen on is the grille I got a pretty decent size run in the paint. I’ll eventually peel it off and redo it but for now it’s staying.

I also just finished up the rear bumper, emblems & tailgate latch.

Nice! And it definitely makes a huge difference in the way the truck looks. It is the perfect product and is easy to remove and freshen up. I like it a lot better without the chrome.

I need to remove my chrome door handles this summer and install the black ones.

Makes the new wheels/ tires look that much sweeter. That's a great looking truck and good idea to kill the chrome.

I used the same Plasticdip on my Tacoma a year and half ago. Front grille and badges are holding really well so far. A cheap and easy way to black them out.

Thanks guys! I definitely agree with y’all, the black gives it a better look. I was worried the flat black would look a little cheap/base model, but I think the chrome actually gave the truck a cheap look. I’m not gonna lie though, I almost want to put the black wheels back on and not sell them lol.

Good to hear it’s holding up for you BMOW. I don’t have any plans on going back to chrome but you never know.
