Agree... definitely not arguing that fact. Meh... it is what it is at this point. Like I said, I take all news with a grain of salt regardless. I'm not concerned with the hype. My wife and I aren't at all wealthy but we still doubled up on our groceries a couple weeks ago. We saw this coming and we were proactive to make sure that we had a little extra for the month.

You've never run out of TP.

Only if he caught it, he would likely die from it too..the irony. I honestly mean no disrespect to dez, but some of us are at risk, despite we are not elderly. I could agree with him that it's being super hyped, yet to be seen if it was needed. Looking at Italy..maybe.

If their going to shut everything down than just do it for 2 weeks and get it over. Toilet paper is a joke to find. Just let me stock up on more rc project stuff lol.

We shop at Costco and BJ's Wholesale Club. Massive amounts of TP in a package. Plus we stock up (not hoard) on supplies during Hurricane Season as I live in South Florida. We are used to this sort of thing.

Me neither. TP is one of the few items that's almost exclusively made in the US!

Both of your memes are great!

I wasn't arguing either. Just showing how I see it from my point of view.

Exactly!!! Only shutting down a few things for 2 weeks isn't going to do shit. You shut everything down or you might as well not shut anything down.

in a real group text for my command in regards to using our GOV'T laptops at home to telework...
Him: you can go get a CAC card reader to use on your personal PC if your issued laptop wont connect to the server.
Me: Does anyone have a quick link to amazon for one of these readers?
Him: you can get them from the NEX on base, Walmart, office depot, etc...
Me: you do realize we are in a social distancing posture thus teleworking, and your suggestions is to go to a store?
Me: (provides link to reader on amazon) incase anyone else wants one delivered to your door.

Our IT guys have a limited quantity on hand, our supply guys say more are on order, but it will be two weeks. Of course, that is for the government guys and not us scumbag dirty contractors. Our only options are to come to work while the base is open, and to burn leave (if we have it) when it is closed.

It's borrowing from Peter to pay Paul, and then later robbing Paul to pay Peter back with interest.

Well Amazon stopped deliveries so there goes his theory. Sounds like a moron is in charge, but that's typical.

I am 100% against any "stimulus" that's a result of this virus. If you can't live two weeks without pay you are seriously living beyond your means. On top of that, they are already offering unemployment for people that are losing work due to the shutdown and they're waiving the one week wait time!

I think we are now overreacting in a financial way as well. Stop the madness!

I do think we will see a lot of small, weak businesses fold as a result of this. That may hurt short term, but I think, as long as it doesn't get out of control, it will actually make the economy stronger. Weak businesses will fail and strong businesses will step up and flourish.

Consider this angle, its not really for the financial health of individuals but rather the economy as a whole. If folks tighten up the purse strings spending slows, they just want us to continue spending $$.

It's a valid point. But if no stores are open to spend it then does it really help?
