Default best truggy?

Mugen?
Kyosho?
Losi?

The market is now flooded with these things, and I am itchin' for a new nitro basher, so I figure I would give a truggy a shot.

Truggy's have the duribility and handling of the 1/8th scale buggys with the clearence of the monster trucks. Right?

seems to me that they would make great bashers.

who's got the best bang for the buck?

Thanks -Brian

i though they were just buggies with truck bodies, but if they had bigger tires they would have more clearance.

Truggies are longer, wider and have different gearing compared to the 1/8 Buggies..A truggy can be just as fast as an 1/8 buggy..

Mugen: Very durable and probably tops in the truggy class

Kyosho: Very Durable just not as long as the other truggies out there, which some say keeps it from being just as fast as the mugen

Losi: Durable for the first couple tanks then you'll need to replace pretty much everything on it cause the Losi's wear out very fast..Meaning CVD's, Arms, Hinge pins, Shock o-rings, shock shafts, Bearings..

Stick with the Kyosho or Mugen..Both are very durable and very fast with the right driver...

I figured I would through this one out there too. HPI Hellfire, I've been racing mine for a little over a year now and its a hard truck to beat. Ive race alongside Mugens and Hotbodies and Jammins all the time and were always right there next to each other

IMO, the absolute best bang for the buck right now is a Hot Bodies Lightning Stadium. They are having a huge sale over at ultimatehobbies.com on Hot Bodies vehicles. If you're looking for something to just beat on, they're hard to beat for the price.

I really like the new CEN matrix truggy. It looks very well thought out. I have also always liked the HB LSP but its getting dated, and the price of them now is reflecting that. I am trying to save up for the matrix.
