| A project I have been thinking about...
One thing I have been seeing more of recently here at our comps (and I am sure we are not the only club dealing with this) is that many people are showing up either not knowing the rules or in many cases having read the rules but still not understanding them. I have been thinking recently it might be useful to have a video tutorial of how competitions are scored and how your actions will be recorded on paper. I am not talking about body or wheelbase rules but driving rules. Just a quick visual explanation of the driving rules so people can see what is a reverse and what is not. Then there is the difference between a rollover touch and a reposition; things like that. What do you guys think? Would you be willing to help illustrate with your driving/narrating? |

| Excellent Idea
This would be something, if approved by the ruling body, could help make comp running and judging more consistant. Let me know how I can help. Better yet, if you could just post up what your needs are to put this together. I'm sure there is plenty of talent here at RCC that could help pull this off. Great idea! Along those lines, has anyone ever thought of creating a scoring clip board? What I mean is a clip board developed with scoring capability to where a score keeper hits a button for the infraction, and the devise and software would keep a running total, and then maybe even a printout copy at the end of the run for the driver. At the end of the comp you sink the devise up with the computer and download the comps results to USRCRCA. Just a thought. would sure take the load off of those that have to do that manually. |

Slugz, this is a great idea and falls in line with some things we are going to be doing with the site. We can talk more about that through pm. I have also thought about one of the weekends we are not having a comp some of us old guys could hold a seminar for the newer guys on how to run a course, rules, scoring, stuff like that. Would people be interested in that? |

I think it should be manditory that a member from every recognized crawling group has at least one member that is comp rule certified... ... or passes a judges class if you will This should be brought up where everyone can see it |
