Default Colorado Crawling @ Red Rocks this Sat 4/28

Ok folks, it has been decided that we are going Crawlin' Sat at Red Rocks. We will be there around 9:00am. 666 is bringing gate markers and stuff too. Weather is going to be in the 65+ on Friday and 70;s on Sat so the snow should be gone by then Hope to see more folks there. If anybody in the Ft. Collins area and southish want a ride, let me know.

And here is a map of the location.

I could build you something Quick like I told you last weekend...

You would never strip a gear there again.... as for the diffs though... thats a different story

I could it would allow more options on gearing!

All you need is a sacraficial motor. Basicly just the can, endbell and bushings/bearings.

Let me know!

Basicly, you shorten the can so the shaft sticks out the rear. Then you can put a gear on the back of it.

A 10 tooth 32 pitch pinion gear fits snugly in the center of a spur gear.

Use warmed epoxy putty to glue the pinion inside the spur.

Then all that is left is a motor plate to mate everything up!

If you run a 66 tooth spur gear, and a 14 tooth pinion, that is 4.7 to one reduction.

And you can dial it in from there.

You can low gear ANY RC this way using the original motor.

Silly rock crawlers! GD 600's are for airplanes!

I'm running 2 of them, and never had one fail. And you have seen what I do to my junk. Allways nice to have bigger and better stuff though!
