PASSPORTS

· If you are planning to attend the Canadian Open and you are from the US YOU WILL NEED A PASSPORT OR OTHER EQUIVALENT DOCUMENT

· Canadian and US customs has told several people that you will not be denied re-entry into the US with a valid US drivers license and a birth certificate, however we are strongly recommending against this.

· Bottom line: As of June 1, 2009, everyone from every country arriving in Canada by air, land and sea is required to have a passport. (Some exceptions apply to childrens passport requirements). Besides an up-to-date passport, visitors may instead use an equivalent travel document

· Application takes about 2-3 weeks for non-rushed delivery, so you need to get on it NOW or risk serious delays or rejection at the boarder!

· Best Advice: If you haven't already, apply now for your U.S. passport or an equivalent travel document. See those docs here http://gocanada.about.com/od/canadat..._travel_ID.htm

· If you need a passport right away, get a passport within 24 hrs with Rushmypassport.com Starting at $99.00 - $299.99

Marketing

The 2009 Canadian Rock Crawling Open is being promoted to all available media outlets including, print, radio, television and internet. With the assistance of Tony Arnold (aka StampedeProject.com) of RC Car magazine, our marketing initiative has attracted the registration of many professional and novice racers throughout North America. This premiere event has spurred great interest and we anticipate a thousand or more in attendance for the weekend.

In addition, Jason Hensel will be facilitating a live stream of the event over the internet which will further the exposure of the competition and the reach of our sponsors through out the RC world. He is also going to be overseeing the judges training for scoring to ensure a smooth running of the competition.

Brian Parker will be the MC at the event. He has vast experience in professional crawling events and was recently an active announcer at the West Coast Crawl. In addition to the mic duties, Brian will also be judging and scoring.

Both Brian and Jason will assist in the layout of the crawler course—their expertise in the crawling scene is second to none. They will bring with them a wealth of knowledge and a large following of dedicated racers and spectators.

DooHickey Hobbies are still kicking around the feasibility of 150 2.2 class competitors.

The Midwest Indoor Challenge was a brutally long day with 100 competitors.

The 150 people may end up being 100 2.2 class and 50 Scaler competitors. The scaler class may end up being a smaller size, just due to the longer course run times expected with possible winching/assists...etc.

OK Guys, we have had a few ticket sales, so let's not let the handful of guys who registered take home all the cash by default.

The Canadian guys are already talking smack, so let's get some US guys up there to show them how it's done.

Since there are substantial cash prizes for the top 5 in the Pro class and top 3 in the Amateur classes, you have a good shot at taking home some serious coin from this event.
