My son and I are coming. Hes wanting to run in the sportsman class. It will be his first time comping. We are new to the comp scene.

Hey Harvo...what time does the sun rise at Ocoee? I think we should back the time for course building as the sun is rising. I know that sucks but 1-2 more hours will give is more time during the daylight since the sun sets so early right now. I think 8:30 might be a little late to "start building courses".

It comes up between 7:30 and 8. I was planning on getting there no later than 7:30, maybe a little earlier.


I know we don't have a problem finding people willing to judge. That being said, if we have enough judges to have all of the courses open, I'm sure we can get it done by dark."thumbsup"

we should be there before the sun comes up, if you want we can start setting up course if you want. I have not been up there in a while where would you like them to be? road side or over the creek?

I think we're going to try to use some of the rock that we haven't crawled on as much. That being said I'm pretty sure we are going to start on the road side alittle closer to the White Water Center but we will use whatever we can to get the courses set up.

What do you think Harvo, is that about right?

As for time to start building courses... sure we can get there early. I'm down for 7:30 or whatever.

As far as start time goes, we can bump it up some, but I'm not going to get crazy with it. We will make 9:00 AM work.

As far as courses go... I am not sure where exactly they will be. Somewhere different than where we have been before hopefully. On the road side for sure. Maybe in the middle of the river if the water is low enough. I'm going to check out some areas this week.

I appreciate all the offers for getting started, but primarily ETRC people need to build the courses cause that's how we roll :mrgreen:. We are getting pretty efficient at getting all these courses built and to a level that new guys can give it a real go, but it's still a challenge for the vets. "thumbsup"

I'm looking forward to seeing all you clowns that I don't get to see that much ;-)

Nope. If you have ever judged at an ETRC, SCRCRC, or RCA comp then you need to pick up a clipboard sometime during the day and judge some courses.

If you have never judged at one of those club's comps... please leave the clipboards on the rocks. :mrgreen:
