ETRC Old Tire Comp
 

The ETRC OLD TIRE comp.
(we were going to call it the old rubber comp... but we were afraid of what people my show up with :shock:)

Date: August 25
Time: 9:00 AM It all begins
Location: Ocoee whitewater center. (We were going to do Northshore but it's grown up)
$5 comp fee.

Classes: 2.2 Pro and 2.2S will run the same courses

Rules: You can run any legal 2.2 pro or 2.2S but to be eligable for the win, the tires have to be an old design. Nothing newer than Panther Cougars.

Losi Comp Claws
Losi Rock Claws
Mashers
Lizzards
Moabs
Red Rocks
Hammers
and I'm sure there are more "thumbsup"

If you don't have any old tires, we will have a few sets there. If you don't end up with any, you can still run... you just can't win.

What do you win? The entry fees will be divided up three ways. 3rd place will get theirs back. 2nd will get more, 1st will get the most.

The point is to have fun with our little trucks.

Bring your scalers or wraiths too. At the end we will have a mini scale dash sort of thing.

I got my old rubber out of the trash and rinsed em off, and streched em over some foams, only broke three since they were so small. My problem is now it looks like I am running touring car tires that are transparent and have reservior tips over my wheel nuts! :lmao: :lmao: :shock: :roll:

No reason. Just picked and arbitrary date a few weeks out to give poeple some time to make plans.

I don't know but I was going to pack everything up for Nats that weekend, so I would have to clean and service my rigs, not to bad but it would be nice to spread that out just in case I need parts. No big deal. Have you picked a location yet?

I would prefer if we leave it on the 25th. I could not make any other weekend due to work and nats. Had to ask a few favors to get that time off.

But, by all means, due whatever the majority can do. This is just a laid back comp anyways. It would just be nice getting together with everyone again.

Yes, but my gps recognizes it as Old Copper Road instead of Hwy 64.

I'm down with that, how long do you for see staying out there? I need to be in Michigan the day after so I'm making plans for that.


Do you guys have any tips to offer for what the terrain is like? how do you all normally setup your rigs for this area?

I think last time we got home around 6-7pm. If there's only going to be 10 people running then probably earlier then that.
