State of Origin - Aus, results and pics.

The turn out this year was dissapointing but the show must go on.

A very enjoyable weekend and was one of the most technical and difficult comps we have had yet.
Only three trucks were still running by the end of the comp and only one truck fully completed both courses.
The points differences were very spaced apart.

Course one
Russell 355
Jim 345
Ben 265
Jamie 165
Bob -25 DNF
Freak -60 DNF

Course two
Russell 390
Ben 140 DNF
Freak 90 DNF
Jamie 35 DNF
Bob -35 DNF
Jim -45 DNF

Fianal results

Russell 1st 745
Ben 2nd 405
Jim 3rd 300
Jamie 4th 200
Freak 5th 30
Bob 6th -60

Pics to follow ,very tight ,technical with a splash of steepness ,off camber and very interesting aspects .

Sorry to the other guys, I don't have any pics of your trucks. Darn batteries.

Nice pics! I couldn't make it this year  and those rocks look very grippy and very steep! also, why did 5 of the trucks DNF on one of the second course?

The only one that finished was Russell (from centipede engineering)..except he drove his new truck called 'Tiny'..

Awesome pics!! That looks like a sweet crawl spot.

clodossal 03-31-2005 02:32 AM

Thanks Guys, Twisted would have a point, if only he could drive himself... :flipoff:

By the end of the day only 3 trucks were still running, mine, Jims and Russell. The DNF for myself (2nd) and Jim (3rd) were due to time out, the last gate was a killer. The rest were well, broken..

XFACTOR 04-01-2005 05:20 AM

clodosal- how long did it take you to get to kempsey?? like 12+ hours?? that is determination, especially for r/c!

btw...was there any prizes or so forth this year?

clodossal 04-01-2005 10:41 AM

Thanks guys, it's not that far.

No X, it took my fiance and I about 5.5 hours , 2 hours on a plane and a 3.5 hour drive from Newcastle.
Fun crawlin, some good blokes + 5 days on the coast with the missus that sounds like a holiday to me mate. What else do you do for easter break?
