| ECRCC presents 2011 2.2 SLO CLass ...... whats that you ask ECRC Presents 2011 SLO Class - Shafty Limited Only ECRCC is proud to announce the addition of our SLO Class ...... Bringing the grassroots of crawling back! Our goal is to bring entry level competition to those new to the hobby of rock crawling and even those with experience. Have a box stock Axial, Losi or other brand shaft driven vehicle and want to compete? Got enough spare parts laying around to build another vehicle? Well this class is where you can start! All current USRCCA rules will apply for every rig with some minor changes amended and posted here. Rules for general competition can always be found here ... http://www.usrcca.com/rules/2010_USRCCA_Rules.pdf *The following amendments will be as follows: All rigs must be shaft driven by 1 central transmission driving power to each axle through the use of prop shafts/drive shafts. NO MOAs will be allowed. MOAs are defined as axles which are independently driven by separate motors or other means of independently controlling each axle. Vehicle transmissions must be locked 4wd at all times with no driveline disconnects allowed. The use of mechanical or electrical DIG units will not be allowed at any time. Any vehicle with an electrical or mechanical disconnect installed will need to show it is locked out and not operable at time of competition. Any usage of it ,accidental or intentional, will result in instant DNF per each course used on. All tires must be production models from manufacturers only and no taller then 6''. NO home growns or cut and shuts will be allowed. This will help minimize the possibility of a tire war or people feeling the need to experiment on their own. *Modifications to factory thread patterns is allowed as long as the original carcass is identifiable and left intact. Power will be supplied to a single brushed or brushless motor through a single ESC. *Batteries will be limited to Max voltage of 11.1v. Lipo or Nimh Legal Transmitters of any kind will be limited to 2 channel use only during competition. Any alternative/extra channels beside throttle and steering will need to be disconnected at time of competing. If you are using a truck with a mechanical dig you must physically unplug your dig servo before starting a course. Courses will be set up separately , but may include some sections, from the Pro's and generally consist of 7-10 gates per course. Penalty points will accrue per USRCCA rules with a point out of 60 instead of the normal 40. Courses will be run on the clock with time determined as 1 minute per total course gates. Any course not completed with in the clock time will result in a 60pnt DNF, course score is then determined by subtracting all progressed gates from that. For more information feel free to post here or at: http://ecrccrawlers.phpbb.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=909 Just a look in on some of the things ECRCC is doing for the 2011 year ...... keep an eye out for more to come Last edited by Robbob; 12-15-2010 at 11:04 AM. |

We revised the Battery rule to allow for 3S lipos. With a lot of the current motors we use, both brushed and brushless, we felt 2S may cause more problems trying to handle the systems. Also opening it up to 3S we hope it encourages people to stepping up into the Pro class with out having to worry about buying more batteries. Our goal with this class is really to help drive new faces into the hobby while tweaking others skills with more practice time. |
