| 2011-2012 ECRC Winter Series Final #6 Its that time of year again! Yup ..... 2011-2012 Winter Series Where you may ask ...... well where else but our local hobby shop R/C Madness. What classes are we running? Pro 2.2 and Sportsman 2.2 ofcourse. Sportsman? You ask ........ Yup this was our SLO class from last year and has turned into our popular 'shafty only and NO Dig' style class for everyone to run. Do we have your attention now? Great! Dates: Nov 20th Dec 18th Jan 15th Feb 5th Feb 26th March 11th 6 Total Comps - 1 Throw Out Normally our events are free. For our winter series we do charge a comp fee. RC Madness is supplying us with the location and electricity so we feel its only fair to split the entry money with them. The other half is collected into the club for our awards and other special things we do. $10.00 per class per event ........ thats less then a cup of coffee per day We will run 2 courses per class each Sunday of our schedule. Points will be awarded for finishing places plus a 2point addition for each course won. We will run 6 total events with each driver being able to throw out one of their lowest scores to determine a final score. The points break down looks like this .... 1st = 200 ... 2nd = 190 ..... 3rd = 180 .... each place down = 10pnt difference. If you were to finish 3rd for the day but win one course your score would be 182 counting the additional 2 points for course win. Drivers will have a choice between what class they want to run for the day. Drivers will only be allowed to run 1 of the 2 classes per event due to the smaller area and interconnecting courses. YES ........ if a Pro driver wants to run the Sportsman class for the day or whole series they can. BUT ...... they can not run the opposite class on the same day. 2.2 Pro will follow all Current USRCCA rules for 2011 and into 2012. If 2012 Rules become available before the season is over we will continue with 2011 revisions until the series is over. 2.2 Sportsman will follow all Current USRCCA rules for 2011 and into 2012. If 2012 Rules become available before the season is over we will continue with 2011 revisions until the series is over. **2.2 Sportsman class consists of any 2.2 Shaft driven (meaning no MOA) trucks. Shaft driven is defined as having 1 central locked transmission driving power to two axles through the use of drive shafts/prop shafts. The vehicle may have a DIG unit in place/installed but must be disconnected and/or locked out from use. Any use, wether accidental or intentional, of the dig will result in a DNF and score of 50 for the course. Well that about wraps up explaining everything ..... I think? Any questions? Any comments? R/C Madness opens @ 9:00am ...... Driver Tech and Reg @ 10:00am ..... Drivers meeting and course walk through @ 10:45 ...... First course to follow shortly after Place your bets its gonna be some tough competition this year! 2011 Winter Series Points UPDATED 2012 ECRC Crawlers Winter Series #3 Last edited by Robbob; 01-18-2012 at 12:15 PM. |

Sorry I had to leave so early - kinda disgusted with my driving - just goes to show ya what happens when you have no drive time. Overall the rig did most everything I asked of it. Hope everyone enjoyed the courses - Can't wait to see who pulled out the victory!

Well our first event of our 2011 Winter Series started last weekend with a great crowd of 18 hungry drivers. With the expanded space Chris gave us at R/C Madness we had some very competitive courses for both classes. We saw some new faces as well as some summer return drivers. With drivers coming in from CT and MA we kicked off the first leg of our 6 comp series. Pics are loaded, scores are logged, series has started ................. i think some maybe hungry for revenge come December We hope everyone had fun and look forward to seeing you all again. Also want to say the course is always open for practice when R/C Madness is open. Pics slideshow: Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket |

It looks like I'll be making it down along with Rich and Daryl. I'll be sporting some new buttery smooth, axle busting goodies at least! |
