| Gil's Cliff Climber (with video)
I got my cliff climber about 2 weeks ago and I'm really starting to like the way it runs. A few simple mods and this little climber is quite capable. Here's what I did to my Cliff Climber so far: 1) Took tires off and put 3 oz of lead in front and 1 oz in rear. Replaced stock foams with memory foams. 2) Installed 11t pinion on rear motor. 3) Removed rear steer and locked it. 4) Made 7 & 8 cell packs of 2/3A cells and put on front servo. 5) Put small o-rings in front cups to get rid of slop in dogbones. Radio is 2 ch. Futaba. Steering servo is Hitec 645MG. ESC is Mamba 25 with Dimension Engineering BEC. Almost forgot. I also got the "A" & "B" replacement aluminum links. Probably didn't really need them since the plastic links are quite flexible. I had it out today with the 8 cell pack. I think the 8 cell pack is the way to go. looks good, Ive got to pic up an 11 tooth for the rear but noone local has any and I dont want to place an order for 1 gear... Im actually kicking back and forth the idea of twin mamba 25 with a stick radio.. Actually, this rig would be perfect for getting used to a stick radio over the winter |

I had my CC out climbing stairs today. It walks right up the concrete steps at my front porch.

I removed my tires from the wheels by putting them in a toaster oven for about 10-15 minutes at 200 degrees. They came off with a little effort. Then I just added the weight and memory foams and glued them back on the rims.

i made an 8 cell pack also but they are c cells from my 10th scale racing days. the power is way better but the rear motor still stall to much i will get the 12 t for the front and hope for less stall. i have the artr 11t both front and rear.

run smaller wire to the front motor an go from your speedo to the rear moter first then to the front

I understand why it happens with one ESC, but with two, and enough "C" rating from the batts, each ESC would get what it needs, and always deliver it to that motor?? | |
