Default remote sux, what to do?

finally figured out the problem with my climber's performance is the remote. it's sending intermittent signals. i put my crystal in the remote fr my micro-t and never seen this thing go so fast or handle so well.

where can i buy an inexpensive remote? what brand does everybody suggest?

The stock radio is garbage. I used it for about 5 min. just to check it out before dropping in a Spek. receiver. I guess a cheap Traxxas TQ radio would be worlds better.
