i haven't had mine long but its a pretty good rig. top heavy though and right off you should clock the axles and tower hobbies has a lot for them.

A lot of people think it is OK 'bang for the buck', but many also think it is just a step above 'toy grade' in quality. Lots to do, to make it a decent crawler. Plastic gears are junk and strip pretty quick. Motors + gearing do not give good crawl torque and speed Crazy gear pitch, so smaller pinions are not readily avail. Can go w/ HH 454s on smaller batt packs or Banebots on 12v for little more torque. I bought a used ARTR and now only the axles are CC. After driving my TLTs, my kids get too frustrated trying to crawl with my CC. |

I love my CC..... the creativity it inspired in me, and the knowledge gained from building it.... but after basically having an AX10 handed to me... i wish i hadnt spent so much time and money on it. i say that based on durability - not ability - my CC after all the mods can outcrawl my AX10 which is stock cept for gear reduction, wheel weighting, and droop suspension. the CC always loses in the torque, and durability categories however. like the other guy said - you wont have much left butt the cc axles if you want it to be any good. |
