| My sons Cliff Climber Bought my son a used CC for christmas from TNCrawler. Made a few changes bent lower links, a spektrum servo, metal steering links, metal servo arm, metel gears in front and metal axle cups, 4.5 inch shocks, carbon fiber chassis plates, locked rear steer. It already had beadlocks and rock claws on it. The upper metal links were on the bottom and I moved them to the upper when I put the lower bent links on. Seems to crawl pretty good with the 12.5 wheel base and 2.5 center height. He's almost 5 so he is still getting the hang of it. Also bought one for his twin sister. |

Do you mind sharing the lenght of the upper and lower links eye to eye or even the lenght of just the links themselves, it will save alot of people time trying to figure out what is needed to get to 12.5 wheelbase. Thanks and oh yah, rig looks very capable......nice work. Kurt.

The lower links are for a axial, they are strc brand. The body is a pro line rockstar, that has been trimmed. I will post lengths for links later tonight. Glad you guys like it. I have another one I am building for my daoughter.

I have no idea on what kind of shocks they are. I got them on a used axial I bought. They are 4.5 inches long which workes perfectly with the longer links and the chassis plates have the extended shock mounts. They have some droop to them so they let the chassis sit a little lower.

The lower links are from STRC (www.teamstrc.com) for the axial part # sta30445b. They are the 30 degree offset bend links, you can also get center bend links (16.99). The upper links are 112mm links. Once you have the upper links on and your ride height set you might have to shorten the lower links a bit to get your axle clocked. Mine sags a little with the weight on the wheels, which tilts the axle back a little, so I need to shorten my lower links a little. They are threaded so just use a hacksaw to cut them to length as long as you don't cut alot off you can just run a tap in the end to get enough treads for your rod ends. I used traxxes rod ends part# 1942 with axial studs part# axa186. This will give you a good wheelbase and give better steering with the proper angle on your axle. With the set up right now it has a wheelbase of 12 5/8 inches with the suspension at ride height. By shortening the lower links just a hair I can get proper axle clocking and a 12.5 wheelbase. Hope this helps.
