microswitch for lights questions
 

Looking to remotely control the lights on my scalers. I want to use microservos and some small switches.

I wil be using my 7 channel Multiplex and have 4 channels left to use for the lights.

Any suggestions or links to switches that would be good for this type of setup.

Is this the best route to go? You can't just control the lights right off the reciever can you?

I have been just plugging in a 9 volt before the runs but I would like to step it up a notch. My radio also does a flashing mode where it moves the servo between points so I am thinking flashers are a must have.

Might want to check out DimensionEngineering. They have lots of interesting things like the PicoSwitch and lighting-specific bits.

I know there is a way to control your lights via remote with an open channel on your RX. Get a connector from an old servo and connect your +,- leads from your light setup that would be connecting to the on/off switch and connect them to the +,- on the RX connector. Disco:shock: I think this should work for you.

Ram RC makes some plug in simple RC switch that could be used for turning lights on and off.

Negative!!!! This doesnt work, The lights will always be on! There will not be any on/off control setting it up this way. The +/_ wires on the conector only supply power and the other wire of the three is a signal wire the device like a (servo) uses as imput to know where it should be. The Pico switch is the answer to this if you want lights controled on/off by your radio or you can use micro servo and switch .

You set it up like the D.U.D we used on supers.
I used a Hitec micro servo (hs81mg) and a roller switch from radio shack. I know JP Custom has switchs that will work. Check under D.U.D. in the clod section
