Default dx3r?

ok, i just read through about, seems like 100 post about the new dx3r. Before i order it i wanted to be sure a couple things. It can be set up for 4 wheel steer (crabwalk) seperately from normal steering without having to mod radio? And, i am going to be running 2 5645 servos and rooster crawler esc, will i need a seperate rx pack? thanks

Modded TQ3 will cost a LOT less than a DX3R... But with the DX3R, you can use one of the thumb rockers for 4WS like the DX3 2.0.. Be it tight turn or crab... Depends which way you push the switch...

As for using an RX pack? That'd depend a lot on your setup... Rig, pack size/capacity... But just to be safe, I'd go with a CC BEC... Can never have too much constant juice to a servo.. Expecially a pair... And it weighs a LOT less than an RX pack and is FAR less bulky, too... If ya need extra weight, then go with an RX pack...

I got my self a DX3R a few weeks ago and it's the best radio I've ever used. Its really easy to program so much so that I haven't even opened the instructions for it yet. If you are planning on running two servos then I would consider getting a decent bec for it.

DX3R is an awesome radio! Well worth the 279 price tag!

I would get a Castle Creations BEC instead of using the rx pack it you can. You'll love DX3R. It's an awesome radio.

You will love Spektrum products!! I have been flying my helis with them for a while now and they are nothing short of spectacular. I am sure the DX3R will be the same way.

the dx3r is so easy to program, I have yet to open the manual!

fyi, for rear steer, I have mine set up for one of the thumb switches for 3 position for the steering, and the other thumb switch for linear. this allows me to steer the rear like normal, but make small adjustments when necessary.
