| Question on a 55t motor
I was just wondering, Can a 55t motor (or any other for that matter) be hooked up to 14.4 volts without damage? I'm in the process of making my own miniature lathe and router table and was just curious because I would be using my 14.4 cordless drill batteries to run an integy 55t. I didn't know what the normal voltage is for hobby lathes and such that use this motor. Thanks in advance. -Tim |

The most commen used crawler motor is actualy a Hobby lathe motor from integy. The power supply should be 12v max like integy sais but i seen many people run 2 6cell pack an a single lathe 55t You can try it but why notrun 10cells 1,2 volt normal C size cells from battry packs? than you will have 12v |

With an integy motor you could probably push 20v or more without harm.

Cool idea. I'd be curious to see what you come up with.

I've been using a 55t with about 20 volts or so for 2 seasons of bashing, it's not crawling it is in a faster truck. It should hold up ok unless it is making lots of power 100% of the time.
