Default Mamba Max 5700Kv in Scorpion??

Hey guys,
I am planning my first crawler.. I think I am getting a Scorpion in a trade for a Tamiya Drift car that I built. The drift car has a Mamba Max 5700Kv in it, and I am debating if I should leave the motor in that car, or keep it to use in my crawler. Would it be practical to gear it down to use or is it just too much motor for this application? For cost reasons I'd rather just keep it, but if it isn't a good choice I will leave it in the drifter and buy something else. If it isn't a good choice, what other brushless setups should I look into? I would rather go brushless so I don't have to worry about maintenance. Thanks for your help!!

THe mamba max speed control is PERFECT. The motor is too fast if you wanna crawl.

so gearing it down wouldn't be practical? Should I yank the speed controller out of the drifter and leave the motor in it? Of course then the other guy would just have to buy one anyway. I new the Mamba Max speed controller was about as good as it gets for crawlers. What motors should I look at then??

Most brushless crawlers run 1000KV or less.

so what is the best/most common brushless motor to run in the Scorpion? I see Holmes Hobbies has some "crawlmaster" motors for $59. And I see Novak has some crawler brushless motors for $83 at Tower Hobbies. Anything else I should look at?
