| Battery conditioner VS bulbs for discharge
hey guys, Rock crawling has brought be back to R/C after several years off. I am using a bunch of nicd stick packs since I have a ton of them and i weeded out the ones that don't work. I need to set up an old light or some bulbs to discharge my batteries, and came accross this. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&P=9&I=LXUTL7 So, can someone explain to me the difference if any between something like this and just using an old headlight? Any thoughts on this? Also curious, because I have about 8 1800 nicd's that work pretty good, but I have two 3000 nimh sticks that hold less charge than the nicds. the conditioner says it works on Nimh too, wondering if it would help my ailing batteries. Thanks for any thoughts. |

Not really sure what that conditioner does. But a discharge is a discharge no matter how it gets done. What brand are the Nimh packs? If they have been sitting un-used for along time thats why they are weak. They may cycle back to life but pry not. Nicads are better if they have been sitting unused for along time... but Nimh are just better performing cells.
