|  Are cooling fans needed?
AX-10, Novak Rooster combo w/55t, 9t pinion, tall narrow rock crushers. Just kinda wondering if I need a fan for my ESC before I heat it up.

No. Fan should not be needed. But it's always a good idea to keep an eye on temps...if you can't comfortably keep your finger on the ESC for 3-5 seconds it might be getting too hot.
