Default so i rewired my esc and batt

and on accident reversed the deans on my battery, went to plug it in to my esc, and the esc just smoked.
then i put a meter to my batts and they said 00.052 or sumthin
now they read 8.1 sumthin.

is my battery toast you think?
so frustrating seeing how i just got my whole thing built and didnt even get to drive it that much.

Reversed polarity should not harm the battery pack if you only connected the pack to the esc since the battery will be providing the power. Your ESC is mostlikly toasted.
BUT did you replace a battery connector on a fully charged battery? That is not a good idea as a small mishap while working on the battery can lead to serious injury or fire.

A 8.1 Volts on a 6 cell pack is normal and idicates that there is some charge in it.

If you had the wires switched going to the esc it could fry it. Thats sounds like what happened. When you get the new esc just make sure to follow the directions to what color goes where.
