| PunkRC's new RC computer
Hey guys... just thought I would give you a heads-up. PunkRC has a new unit out thats even better than the old one. Once you've bought the unit, extra features and functions can be downloaded from the net at no extra charge and programmed onto the unit for trying out. I already have a digsteer unit, and just ordered one of these new ones... cant wait for it to arrive :-P Go check em out http://www.clodmodracing.com/product...oduct=Computer |

hmmm .. um.. no. But if you DID have the hardware, you could operate it without an extra channel on your radio (one option of many)

JUst noticed this thread. The PunkRC COmputer is my baby. There are lots of programs that work for only a 2 channel. We have not posted a dig only for 2 channel, but we have several versions that will do both dig and dual steer. We are currently working on a program that will do both front and rear dig on a 2 channel. There is a program listing on the webpage... Let me know is there is any questions or and suggestions. -PunkRC Update, we should have the 2 ch dig program complete by next week. Last edited by PunkRC; 08-21-2008 at 04:50 PM. |

I've seen these units before & never really understood how they work!?! Is it like adding an extra channel to your rx, and how do you switch between the different modes?

actually constantmotion no, you dont need an extra channel.... On the older Digsteer unit when its set up for 2ch, you simply put the throttle in neutral, and steer hard right (or left) for a few seconds... beep beep and ya digs are on. No extra radio channel needed. ;) My mistake... I thought there was a dig program currently available for 2ch. Its on the list, so I'm sure it wont be long before one is released for this unit. personally... I'm getting mine for the dual-winch function I rekkon for those inclined it would be a great option for winch-down suspension |

If you can get a program for front and rear dig on 3ch I'd be interested for sure. BTW PunkRC, your star is expired. |

Here is what I am envisioning for the initial dual dig program. 3CH version 3rd Channel Center = No Dig 3rd Channel Left = Front Dig 3rd Channel Right = Rear Dig 2CH version Neutral and Hold Left = Toggle Front Dig Neutral and Hold Right = Toggle Rear Dig What do you think? p.s. I may be doing a giveaway soon. I should also have a some new youtube videos of this thing too. |
