| CC sidewinder not working, brand new
So I spent the whole day putting my clod together. Solder up the brand new CC sidewinder, After calibration, when I hit the throttle it just rocks back and forth about 2" I am a newb to crawling and not electronic savvy. Please help! I am only using the red and black, the white wire is just zip tired out of the way. the wires go to the rear motor first, then to the front. 55t lathe, 8t pinion. |

sounds like you have it set in brushless mode (factory default). Mine did the same thing, you need to switch it to brushed mode.

The instructions will tell you how to set it to brushed motor mode. The default is brushless.

All it says in the manual is how to hook up the wires for brushed motor set up, then it just says calibrate it. Thanks for the reply |

I own 3 Sidewinders and they all came with the green manual. Yours should have it too. http://www.castlecreations.com/suppo...s_ed_guide.pdf See page 19 for programming instructions and page 35 for motor type options. EDIT: Page 41 gives you a nice reference page to use while you are using the radio to program. Last edited by Grizzly4x4; 09-18-2008 at 06:26 PM. |
