| Mamba 25 no drag brake!
Anyone using a Mamba 25 still? I had one laying around from my 1/18 and needed an ESC for my sons new rig he's getting for x-mas.... and now that it can run a brushed 55 I was pretty excited to save some money! Anyways it works good and is smooth but I have the drag brake at 100% via the castle link and it has VERY little drag brake......almost nothing compared to my Rooster Crawler. Anyone else experience this? I know he's going to be pissed when he keeps rolling down/back unintentionally after having driven my truck.

Tell him to learn to balance the throttle, thats what we did 3 years ago...... Honestly, if you get a high quality motor you will get the drag brake. Like a Holmes Hobbies hand wound. Other than that... quit bitchen and gear down.

He's only 8! haha. Just a little strange to me that 100% drag brake is just about nothing on this thing..... and full normal braking is very strong.

| Its a racing type ESC... so the drag brake is not supposed to stop the truck, just slow it down a tad when going into the corners, it keeps you from having to apply the brakes too hard thus spinning out of control ..

you could always swap him! or get a HHH 50t motor, or an outrunner brushless. The stronger magnets of the handwound and brushless with give it alot better response from the drag break. |
