Tape up the connectors put it in a zip lock bag and put it in your carry on. Thats what I did. More info, don't listen to all of it!! Batteries on planes? Last edited by 666; 12-15-2008 at 07:27 PM. |

You can take them, but there might be regulations on how much lipo you can carry. http://www.schneier.com/blog/archive...ium_bat_1.html |

To clear up the definitions, basically a 10 amp hour 3 cell lipo would be over the limit of 100w/h size. So your main installed pack can be a bit less than that, but your two backup batteries could be almost 30 amp hour/ 3 cell lipo.

Basically you can take one battery installed, and two batteres as spares. With the small size of our packs, they fit well within the limits of lithium content.

| agree'd no exposed connectors allowed on a plane. i actually had to leave a spare laptop battery in an airport locker this past feb. when i went to NY. i could have just covered it w/ electrical tape and brought it onto the plane, but electrical tape isnt really somthing they carry in the airport gift shops and the douche bag security officer was abnormally protective of a roll he had hanging off his belt. |
