| Need help quick on battery/charger question!
Hey guys, I am trying to get my son's truck ready for his 1st comp Saturday and am building 9 cell packs for him. I just noticed my chargers (prophets) will only go to 8 cells. Can I get by with doing this? I'm hoping it will just take longer. Please help as I need to know if I have to change gears real quick. Thanks!

Kinda doubt that it'll work properly. You might get a charge in it, but it wouldn't be a full charge. |

Okay, so how 'bout I break 3 off and charge separately (a 6 celll and a 3 cell ) and then reconnect with dean's connector to make it 1 pack again. Problem is my charger says 4 to 8, not 3 to 8. Will I burn up something? I can adjust from 1 to 2 to 4 amps at a time on charge rate.

You'd have to seperate into groups that the charger will handle. The problem isn't amperage, its voltage. Why not just run 8 cell packs untill you can get the proper support gear? Much safer, much less crazy late night math. |
