The is a really good entry level radio. It is digital and has epa adjustment. But it only has 2 position 3rd channel and no way to mod it. I put one of these on my sons rig and it works great. His rig has a DNA dig and it works great with this radio. You will only have two functions but Just do it and upgrade the radio later. Free wheel is nice to have but its better to make due with 4wd and locked rear than to have an awsome radio and no dig.

A friend just gave me one of these Cirrus 3CFM radios and I was wondering what I could do with the radio. I presently dont have a dig unit, but I am looking to get a DNA dig for an SWX build. Does the manual tell me how to set up the radio for a dig unit or is it something I have to figure out myself. Any help is appreciated on this topic

you just need to set the end points really low on the 3rd channel and start from there. Move each one up till you have full lock and full 4wd engagment and your good to go.
