| sidewinder question
I'm using a sidewider esc on my swx ax10. When it begins to crawl up something it will just stop. Then I have to wait a second before it will move in forward or reverse. any help?

i'm running a novak 55T and a 7cell but no BEC. That is probably my problem isn't it? If it is what bec would be best for the sidewinder?

Ignore my stupidity...but how will a BEC fix this problem? You need to hook up a BEC to your rig so you can run the speed controller that has its own BEC? Doesnt make sense, sounds more like speed controller setup or some other issue |

The internal Sidewinder BEC can't handle the power draw that a nice strong servo pulls. The BEC powers the servo without going through the ESC, therefore no more shutdowns. Read through all the posts on BEC's there is a ton of info.

I am new to crawling and running a sidewinder, was extremely hesitant to add a bec for the same reason you are, but when you look at it it does make alot of sense. I have added the cc bec and it is the best money I have spent on my rig, nothing else will be as big of an enhancement for as cheap

Thanks for the reply, i can understand why its happening now Im was just assuming the Sidewinder would have a good BEC Been looking around but cant find the specs, what Volts/AMP is the internal BEC For the price of Sidewinder + CCBEC it would be just as easy to get a Max? |

OR...maybe you just forget to change brake/reverse type. like in page 22 in manual. Default is in reverse lockout. hope it helps deephis |

john in your scaler you should be fine without a bec the sidewinder is 3 Amp, same as the max i've run Tiny without bec's before, still worked fine (i just wanted to give the servo's 7.2V)
