| battery cells with rooster crawler esc
I want to find out who is running a rooster crawler esc with a 7 cell or more battery. I am running a 8 cell, 9.6v split pack battery with mine now and so far no problems but I dont want it to become a problem. I know they call for no more than a 7 cell pack but want to find out if anyone is runnning a similar set-up and if they have had any issues

Ran 8 cell's for about 8 months now. never slowed down a bit. I think now if i run 6-7 cell it may get pissed and quit running then. I'll stick with the trusty ole 8 cell. nice wheel speed too. |

all 8 cells are the same voltage as far as I know. 9.6v (1.2v per cell) (not in lipo though)

Novak Rooster Crawler edition and the Goat Crawler call for not more than 7 cell Nimh/2S lipo, voltage is not noted. I've personally seen the Goat go beserk in my Ax on 8 cell 9.6v packs and the Rooster doesn't mind 1 bit? Call Novak if you have a real concern or ?. You might be voiding the warranty, but if it ain't broke. . .Run it right?

| MINE 'did' work for about 1 mo.? then glitched like crazy when I would drive it into a line/ approach, and start to ease into it= BAM reverse! glitchn then cool. Until I swapped a 6-7cell or 2s. . . have since gone back to brushed on a MM, but do like what the Goat had, just hate glitchn! BTW~ DX3r still had probs, so I have singled out the Input V as the prob w/mine. going to hook it up in my buds SWX that I sold him and see what happens on 2s & the 8cSaddles - |
