| Newbie doing the ele part of a BERG
I decided I might want to get into the comp.RC crawler hobby. I have never done any of this RC stuff but it looked like a good pass time. When i get a pay pal set up i am going to donate to this site as it is fantastic.. I am going to start my build around the BERG axles. I am going to get the electrical out of the way first and then do the rig. 1ea Futaba p4 pistol grip radio&receiver---$430.00 from Ultimatehobbies.com 2ea Tekin fxr esc---$110 from rcslot.com 1ea cmccBec--- $25.00 from Ultimatehobbies.com 2ea battery – thunder power 2100map/3c/11.1v---$120 from horizonhobby.com 1ea Futaba s9156 servo---$115.00 from servocity.com 1ea Thunder T6 Smart Balane Charger---$53.00 from hobbypartz.com 2ea Tekin hand wound motor 55t---$119.00 from rcslot.com will be using Dean connectors.. I am not sure of the wire size at this time...any input on this would be great.. If I need anything else please let me know, thanks input input input please... if anyone has a wiring digram of this kind of a ele setup pleas post it for me thanks.. MAN THAT IS $972.00 WORTH THE ELE PARTS...... ..I am thinking it might be cheaper to build another full size Suzuki Sammy... Last edited by samaruki; 06-04-2009 at 04:42 PM. I believe most are going with the 14 gauge wire. Edit: Nevermind....I see your getting 2 ESC's. |

Might want to go with the Futaba S9157 instead of the S9156. 425in. oz. and only $15 more. I would also probably suggest 45T motor's, but that's just me. Have fun building. |

Is that a stick radio you plan on getting? If not, you really need to get a Punk RC dig switch. Just my 5g of copper plated zinc... Good luck and enjoy your new addiction...

| If you get the Dig Switch, you will only need a 3ch radio and you WONT NEED 2 ESC's! That will save some green too!

it is a Futaba p4 pistol grip and it is $$$ but from what i have read very smooth control and a lot of options for getting up and down terrain.there are a lot of cool things that you can do heaving separt control of both motors...I will be checking out and talking to people at the comp this weekend.
