I had a bad one too last week, smoked it. Maybe just a bad batch from Tekin? Got another one, and working fine.

Mine smoked too, just got it less than a month ago. Was there a bad batch in June? Anyway, how long does it take to get a response from Tekin? I emailed them for RMA # like they ask on their site, but haven't heard back.

Probably the aisian components used nowdays, pump em out by the millions. I'm shure Tekin will make everything right and send him a new ESC.

Would like to see the vid.

I smoked one also. You may want to call them to get them moving

I waited a few days for a response for an RMA too. I finally called and they gave me one. It seemed like the girl who answered the phone just made one up anyway.

So if you need an internal bec to run 7.4v as well...does not say alot for the speedy. I mean a UBEC for 11.1 sure, not 7.4.

It's only 3 amps...some Servos pull all of that and then some.

$20 to be sure your servo is fully powered and your ESC has less to do...cheap insurance for me.

The BEC is a good idea to ensure that your servos are getting a constant voltage without having to worry about voltage sag.

So it is 3s ready but in order to use 3s I need to install a bec in order for it to work right?? I just put mine in last night and ran it a very little but the esc was hot and pretty sure that at one point it shut down. I am using a losi 3s 1350 20c battery. Is this battery ok to use? So if I need a bec what should I get and how many amp?? 10 amp castle creations?

thanks for any help

The battery should be ok. What crawler is this in?

Yes, the CC BEC is the one I would go with.

Not sure what it would be then. I know a few have burned them up because they were not using a BEC. I have had 3 of them (FX-R's) and not a single problem.
