I use a 2S version of that in my VXL Slash and it's wicked.

Why are you looking at such large batteries?

I picked up some of the 2S CX 5000mah's for my Strike. I decided to save a little money over the VX series - they are 25c instead of 35c. They really made the truck come to life.

Though I do have some VX's for my crawlers.

It certainly will, though it might be too thick to use the stock battery holder thing.

You can downsize considerably and get an hour of run time out of a much smaller pack. I bet you could get about 45 minutes with their 1100.

Don't you think wight will not be a big factor with a high torque motor like the a 55t?

Just get the 1100 or 1300. They last long for about 45 mins to an hour. The smaller the lipo, the lighter the pack and plenty of space in your CR-01. VX series are strong and last longer. For your plug, change it to deans.
