Default Help with esc selection

I need to choose an esc for the crawler I'm building. I plan to run a 35 or 45 turn brushed and 3s power.

I had planned to buy the tekin combo(fxr/motor) but am now unsure. I'd like an esc that doesn't need an external bec but it is not out of the question. I will be running 4ws so 2 servos for sure.

If I buy the tekin I'd probably buy the hotwire to set it up. If I had to buy a bec it would be nice to buy the castle link to set it up....so if I run a cc esc I'd only need one setup connection.

Maybe I'm overthinking this. Any opinions or recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ya don't need the hotwire for the fxr. It's easier to program without it. Seems a waste to get a cclink just for the bec. HH will program it for ya as will most lhs. The hh esc looks pretty kool but it is big and will need the cclink. I still like the fxr but 5s are looking sweet mrgreen:

Thanks for the replies so far.
The HH esc does look good, and the price isn't bad considering the bec alone would be at least $20. Never heard of 'stick programmable' but the castle link should make it easy to set up.

I've got an ongoing super build(though it's going very slowly) so it would be nice that this esc could run dual motors also.

The fxr would cost about $130 with an esc/motor combo. This HH esc plus a motor would be about the same price.

Any further recommendations would be great.

I have to agree with the HH ESC. I don't have one, but would if I hadn't already bought my FXR. The HH may be a bit bigger, but you are gonna save room not running that external BEC as well.
The FXR is also a great choice though. Very happy with mine.

Both of those would be able to run dual motors for your super.

I'll try and do some more research but the HH sure looks like the way to go. Sounds like they're pretty good to deal with too.
