Default 35t vs 45t?

so i am about to get my scaler and realize that 55t is much to slow for a scaler..i dont want this thing to go super fast just want it to act, well, scale! most combos i have seen come with a 45t...is this to slow? is there a big difference between 45t and 35t? all info is welcome! thanks!

Depends on the voltage. 3 cell lipo go with a 35t or a 27t even. Anything under 11.1 volts I would go with a 27 turn silver can. The stock hilift motor is a good choice, as is a stock clod motor.

If you have the extra money. I would go with a hand wound 35t. I personally run a 45t integy. It has pretty good wheel speed on 3s but a hand wound 35t would have the same torque as a 45t and a good bit more wheel speed.

I have seen Scalers with Velineon VLX's. They look fun. 3 Cell Lipo! Brushless.
The new ones are water proof!

I love my 45t on 3s and 2s refers to LiPo cells, a 2s is approx. 7.4v and 3s is approx. 11.1v

Well I run a Tekin 35t Pro on 1500Mah 9.6v. My friend has a Tekin 45t Pro on a 3s 1500 lipo. Both are running 12 tooth pinions on the stock axial 87 tooth sper. On a full charge, I get about 1 hour + out of my packs and the lipo powered 45t is about an hour and 15. Torque is really the same. My 35t evern thow it is not lipoed, has more wheel speed. Other than the wheel speed, the 45t does have better holding power on the hills. I have noticed it alot when we have been out together. I think the 35t best suites my driving. I found the extra wheel speed handy in some cases.
