looking to get a motor and esc. was told to get a hand wound motor and right now but they said a 55 but i would like to have my crawler have some speed like 8 to 10mph but still very good at crawling. I have a wreckluse. i was thinking a 45 but like some imput from others with wreckluse. also i heard novak is a good ecm but im open ears.

It is my favorite by far and I am sure there are alot of people that agree. Just stay away from novak combos. They have been known to go up in flames right out of the box.

More power and just a better quality motor all around. The HH torquemaster is just a sweet motor. 35t will give you good wheel speed especially with a 3s lipo but is still a very capable crawler. even a 40-45t might suit you well.

Other way around, lower the turn the faster the speed. Higher the turn the more torque.

ok, well i got a Integy 55t motor off ebay for 15 bucks so if if nothing else is a spare. but I think I run it and see if i like how fast it goes and go from there. After i will spend the money on handwound 35 or 45. also what more benifits other then draining wallet is a brushless do?

I have only had one brushless in a road car and don't know much about them. I do know they are no good for scale trucks and am pretty sure you have to keep them dry where as a brushed you can run under water just have to try to avoid getting too much dirt in there. Don't quote me on that though.

I try to get everything through RPP. If they don't have it, give Corey a call and see if there is anything he can do. He goes above and beyond, ships super fast and is a great guy. Im gonna get some sleep since it is 4am but feel free to shoot me a pm if there is anything I can help you with. Can't beat his prices either!

Roosters are like tanks. I'd to met the people that blew those up, they must have been running 3s lipos or something bad like. The FX-R is a great speed control.

Sorry I wasn't clear enough guys, it was the novak motors that went up. I don't know how often it has happened to other people but a buddy of mine has had it happen more than once and one of his buddies went up right out of the box in his living room. I was going to go with the rooster/novak but after hearing that changed my mind. Squached, didn't mean to get off on the wrong foot man. I just didn't think my comment was that big of a deal. |
